Jeffrey Glasser has been actively involved with photography for more than forty years. His work has been in over sixty exhibitions (group, juried and one person). He has won numerous awards in juried exhibitions including the Grand Prize in the Masters Division of Foto3 sponsored by View Camera Magazine awarded by Hewlett Packhard Compony. Glasser's photographs are in private, corporate and public collections. Exhibitions have included the Miami International Airport, the Miami-Dade County Library, Books and Books, the Friends of Photography, Photo Group, Temple Beth Am, the Miami Center for Photography, Ilford's Online Gallery, twice in the Hasselblad Around the World section, Photo Place Gallery, published in Black and White magazine, the Sierra Club, Villa Vizcaya, the Gallery at Pinecrest Gardens, the Wirtz Gallery, the Futernick Family Gallery and others.
Several years ago he printed a limited edition of platinum/palladium/gold hand coated prints for internationally acclaimed photographer Mario Algaze. Jeffrey works with medium and large format film and prints in a traditional darkroom on silver gelatin paper, platinum/palladium/gold sensitizer and digitally with pigment ink on cotton rag paper. He has also done some images in platinum/palladium/gold on cotton vellum backed with 24 carat gold leaf and made a few hand-made books of his photographs. His subject matter leans heavily toward landscape and still-life and occasionally street style. Most are tight compositions, sculptural forms and textures.
